Fixed Income Investments and Strategies

Municipal Bonds

Our municipal bond strategies seek to leverage inefficiencies in the municipal market to produce and protect federally tax-free income. Market fragmentation, nuances within the municipal investor base and trading mechanics all present opportunities to capture risk-conscious returns.

Risk management and capital protection are paramount in Madison’s municipal strategies, so our portfolio managers focus on diversification amongst high quality municipal bonds. We maintain high credit quality throughout the portfolios by actively monitoring each issuer and avoiding potentially volatile sectors and states.
